A Cappella

I found an article on http://uknow.uky.edu/content/uk-cappella-excellence-recognized-voices-harmony called UK A Cappella Excellence Recognized at Voices in Harmony.

This article talks about two students vocal groups, AcoUstiKats, and Paws and Listen.  Who were recognized at the third annual a cappella competition called Voices in Harmony. The Acoustikats, who are compromised of sixteen members, took the best over all ensemble,  and best choreography. On the other hand, one of Paws and Listens members won first place out of all the vocalist in the competition for her solo. Both groups are apart of the University of Kentucky's choral program. This program has archived awards, and not only national, but international recognition for high caliber education in opera, choral and instrumental musical performance, as well as music education.

This competition was held in March, and although I was not a student, I wish I would have heard about this event. The university of Kentucky has a very prestigious choral program which all the members of an a cappella group have to be in if they even want to be considered for the group. The group i have read the most about seems to be the AcoUstiKats. I don't know if its because they have been on a tv show, or because they have made an album, but the all girl group should get their name out there also. Does Paws and Listen not have enough resources to get their name out there like the AcoUstiKats, or are they not as good?
